On Spirituality and Wellbeing
- When things aren't certain and it's time to take a decision, just take a decision.
- Put your soul first
- Life is not like fast food. You can't make a tree grow in one day whatever water and fertilisers you give it. Life sometimes takes time to be.
- What feels right is right.
- There is so much about our actions, feelings and the way we live now that is subconscious. Take yourself easy.
- It's better to spread your wings outside the cage, than to live in a it for the food the shelter.
- There is no absolute right or wrong (almost. Theory under observation).
- Some people and circumstances can be harsh on you. Keep being kind to yourself.
- No relationship can replace your relationship with yourself (the warmth, understanding, kindness, support, courage to be)
- Some people will dislike you despite whatever you do and it has nothing to do with you. Hearts come in all shapes and sizes.
Love and Family
- Age shows on women earlier than on men
- You can give love to those whose hearts are still not open. It's their job to receive, not yours.
- Receiving love and attention is nice, but if you don't like someone back. ... be nice and honest as soon as you are clear on that with yourself.
- A relationship can be fixed from one side only. You don't have to wait for the other person to fix things too.
- Love someone, but love yourself more. The moment you get that out of balance, your relationship starts to stumble.
- To give family relationships the same (and even more) commitment than that you give to your friendships and work relationships.
- Families are safe, loving spaces through which we can easily be ourselves . A family is where one gets love and support when they are doing the right thing. Also, it's somewhere where one gets love and advice when they are doing something wrong.
- In relationships, just being present can do miracles. Authentic and spontaneous emotions prevail. That's good for the heart.
- A big name is one thing. A big heart is another.
- It takes time to build strong relationships. And it's ongoing work. Do it.
- There are good people out there. There are bad people out there.
- What makes some people good friends includes their respect to your priorities, supporting you to fulfill them if they can. If the can't, they'd not pretend and they'd still be around to love you.
- Expect the least expected. Good friends can surprise you by how good they can be.
On Work and Business
- Work with other people with an open loving mind. Different perspectives are interesting and fun to work with. It's enriching
- Experiment: if you're doing something new... do it a bit at a time. See the results. Adjust on the way.
- Give your best. It's for you. It's your trademark. Your name.
- You can still do your best and not receive appreciation.
- Don't put all your best in one place. Have more than one basket for your eggs
- It's good to do business. It makes one happy to see people enjoying a value one helped create
- It's important to use ethical workplace politics to promote the good of the company, the self (ego-less good) and that of deserving others.
- What you can't or don't want to do, don't do. No compromise.
- Those who show no respect to your business more than once, don't deserve it. Give them a lesson. Leave on a high note.
- Receive good business with grace and support.
- Business is always about people. Keep and grow your business relationships
Some of the lessons shared by my friends on snapchat
- I learnt "not to go blindly with the flow... and that nothing is unquestionable or absolutely right"
- "Opportunities won't come knocking at your door if you don't go after them. (Sometimes) no one will help you but you"
